2011- present THESE DASHBOARD TOPS CANNOT AND WILL NOT BE A MODEL FOR OTHER CAR COMPANIES TO FOLLOW!!! The following pictures are of BMW Dashboard Tops from the outside. As you "see" from the Introduction (see pictures at Introduction), the driver's view is dangerously disturbed. Since 2011 on most BMW models, the disturbing crooked box reflection/view is a result from the standard dashboard whether or not the car has the Head Up Display (HUD) apparatus. A majority of BMW buyers describe their decision making process as initially test driving the car and not expecting something as simple as a windshield view problem. This happens because a majority of the buyers test drive the car for merely 10 minutes often when conditions are somewhat overcast let alone never at night because dealerships are not open when it is dark. Therefore knowing the intermittent crooked box reflection upon the driver's side windshield while driving under street lights can never be known outside of BMW salespeople let alone BMW themselves pointing this disturbing fact out on their websites for the potential buyer. The outrage is that the reflection upon the driver's side windshield are not mentioned, nor acknowledged by nearly all salespeople at BMW dealerships nor has BMW done anything to educate the drivers of this issue nor have they even made attempts to fix the issue nor have they even made attempts to design a safe product that could alleviate the problem. Now thanks to these websites, there are solutions. The following shows how BMW radically deviating form decades of dashboard top design knowledge to sell people a rudimentary, under-developed, hastily designed and for the most part unnecessary HUD product that is not yet ready for the masses. HUD should only be installed for the most important defensive driving safety features like collision control, and not simple redundant multiple and constantly simultaneous information about speed, music stations/entertainment, navigation, etc... one step/one choice feautres already part of the dashboard control panel. ONCE AGAIN, THESE DASHBOARD TOPS CANNOT AND WILL NOT BE A MODEL FOR OTHER CAR COMPANIES TO FOLLOW!!!

Mini Cooper is owned by BMW. BMW's Mini Cooper offers HUD. Their HUD is a very large crooked box on this very small car's very small Dashboard Top. As you see here with BMW's Mini Cooper, the same types of disturbing reflections result from the HUD box (see Introduction, BMW Goes All In On HUD). Pictures here are on the left BMW's Mini Cooper HUD from the outside , and on the right a view of BMW's Mini Cooper HUD reflection on the driver's side windshield from the inside of the car. This very crooked box refection from Mini Cooper is outrageous. Rolls Royce is owned by BMW. BMW's Rolls Royce offers HUD. Pictured here is a Rolls Royce with Huead Up Display (HUD) resulting in the same types of disturbing reflections seen in the Introduction (see Introduction, BMW Goes All In On HUD).
The following is BMW's official and yes very simplistic description of their HUD which is TOTALLY NOT RECOGNIZING AND OR OMITTING THE REFLECTION ISSUES!!!!
Picture used on BMW's website!!
UNBELIEVABLY CORRUPT!!! As my site shows CERTAINLY SOME "GREY AREAS" WITH THIS HUD SUBJECT.
ONCE AGAIN - TOTALLY NOT RECOGNIZING AND OR OMITTING THE REFLECTION ISSUES UPON THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDSHIELD!!!! |
